I HAVE MANY MORE BANJO IN STOCK (AROUND 30) BUT I OFTEN DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO ADD THEM TO THE SITE BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD.
I'M HAPPY TO TRADE-IN YOUR OLD BANJO (in any condition)
I stock hard cases for Open Back & Resonator Banjos
I have been so busy with customers' Banjo Restorations that I have run low on reconditioned Banjos to sell.
I have lots of banjos in pieces or awaiting restoration around the workshop so if you don't see one that's suitable give Kate a call 0421 046 273.
PRICING BANJOS FOR SALE
When I'm pricing banjos for sale I look at what I paid for it, add the labour & materials cost plus the cost of the (normally) new case & that's my sale price (my profit is the labour).
To compare the price with other banjos we can compare the price with Deering banjos in Australia.
Deering has a range of high-quality banjos for beginners to the most fastidious professional
Their cheapest ones are the Goodtime series which are a nice basic beginner's banjo but without a truss rod in the neck or a tone ring. these have an RRP in Australia of $1349 for the open back, $1900 for the closed-back & $2649 for one with a tone ring.
They don't come with a case I don't think they come with a bag anymore.
Most of my banjos are as good or better than new and most are priced at under $2000 & come guaranteed most with a new Hardcase valued at around $200
THE LAST EIGHT BANJOS SOLD DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE WEBSITE THEY WERE SNAPPED UP AS SOON AS THEY WERE FINISHED.
So if you're looking for a Banjo call Kate 0421 046273 & see what we have coming up.
If you're looking for a great quality American assembled Goldtone banjo we can order any in that are on the Goldtone website.
Some before & afters
I enjoy bringing instruments back from the dead
Nickel plating is now available on all restorations
Another challenging restoration.
This one is from Lightning Ridge & was in a fire in a shipping container.
The back was plain so I added some faux grain
It was a lot of work but it has come up very well.
It plays & sounds great.
